Arlington, TX, USA – Kito Crosby, a leading manufacturer of lifting and securement solutions, is proud to announce that our flagship office building in Japan, Cosmo Terrace, has been honored with the Good Design Award 2024. This prestigious award recognizes excellence in design across various fields, selecting 1,000-1,500 tangible and intangible designs from over 10,000 applications each year.

Cosmo Terrace won praise for its seamless integration of form and function, embodying the spirit of innovative design in Japan. According to the Good Design Award jury, “The building harmoniously blends with its surroundings while providing an efficient, user-friendly space. Its aesthetic simplicity and attention to detail make it an exemplary piece of modern architecture.”
Furthermore, the building is certified as “Net Zero Energy Building (ZEB)” by the Ministry of Environment of Japan, which signifies that Cosmo Terrace aims to reduce the balance of primary energy consumption to zero by reducing the amount of energy consumed and producing the energy used. This is achieved through various energy savings measures such as geothermal air conditioning circulating ground water throughout the building as well as solar power generation.
Kito Crosby is no stranger to the Good Design Awards. The Kito LX lever hoist was selected for the 2003 Good Design Gold Award, an accolade given to only 12-15 designs each year, making it an extraordinary achievement for an industrial product. In 2008 the Kito CX chain hoist also won a Good Design award (G mark).
